Gustav Winter accredited his roots in Spain since 1915, documented how Capital the AIG achieved, and finally resolved the "Reintegration File to the Regime of Freedom of Common Law" —which is of public access and work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain—, research process promoted by the Allied Council of Control on Germany.
In the summer of 1948, after obtaining a residence permit in Spain, he moved to Fuerteventura. Ten years later, in 1958, he got Spanish nationality.
